Mount Ephraim Borough Commission Meetings, Special Meetings and Public Hearings–Next regular mtg. Feb. 2, 2023, at 7:00pm
Meetings are in-person and are held at the Municipal Building.
For regular caucus and commission meetings, agenda items will be posted to the website 24 hours prior to the meeting. The next meeting is the commission meeting on February 2, 2023, at 7:00pm. All meetings have an open public portion where residents can be heard on any issue. Public comments are limited to five minutes per person in the aggregate. If you are unable to attend, questions can also be emailed to the Clerk in advance and will be read into the record during the open public portion.

DOG LICENSES EXPIRE SEPT. 30–RENEW STARTING OCTOBER 1
All dog licenses expire September 30. Licenses can be renewed starting October 1. The deadline to obtain a dog license is November 30 and the fee for a dog license is $18.00 for a neutered dog and $21.00 for a non-neutered dog. If not renewed by November 30, a late fee of $20.00 will be added. Any license not renewed by November 30, will also receive a summons to appear in municipal court. To apply for a dog license, just complete the application, put in an envelope along with a copy of the current rabies certificate and a check and either mail in or put in our payment dropbox on the back of Borough Hall. We are also open to the public for in-person renewals but you cannot renew until October 1.
Yard Sales
Yard sales are again permitted in Mount Ephraim and no permit is required. HOWEVER-all residents conducting yard sales are to follow Covid-19 rules. Maintain social distancing between visitors and post signs that visitors are required to wear masks.
Construction/Zoning Permit Info
During the COVID-19 emergency, staff is still working and processing applications. The following is the process for construction, zoning and resale CO applications.

Drop completed applications in the can outside the rear door to borough hall offices. We will collect and review and will call you with any questions. Once the application has been reviewed, we will call you with the amount due. You can then drop a check in the payment drop-box on the rear wall of borough hall. We will collect the payment and will then issue the permit and will mail to you.
Exterior inspections can still be done in person. Interior inspections can be done using photos or virtually. If the property is vacant, the interior inspection may be done in person but that determination will be made when you contact us to schedule. For zoning applications, put the completed application, along with your survey and a check payable to Borough of Mount Ephraim for $25, in an envelope and put in the can behind borough hall. We will collect, review and will call you with any questions. Once approved, the approved application will be mailed back to you.
The same process applies to resale inspection applications and smoke/carbon monoxide inspection applications. Staff is working a staggered schedule so please be patient–your questions will be answered.
Marriage License Information

Pay Taxes Online
There are several ways payments can be made to the Borough. Payments can be mailed, put in the drop-box on the wall of borough hall next to the rear door to the building or can be made online. Be advised there is a fee for the online service as follows: e-check or ACH debit-$1.05; Debit card-$3.95; credit card 2.95% of payment amount. T-N-R Program in Mount Ephraim
We have dedicated volunteers who are working to trap, spay/neuter feral cats. They can always use more help. If you are an animal lover and would like to get involved, or to report feral cats and/or kittens in your neighborhood, please call Borough Hall at 856-931-1546 and ask for Terry or email boroclerk@mountephraim-nj.com. We can always use food and monetary donations to help pay for the spaying/neutering. Food and money can be dropped off at Borough Hall.
