The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) provides the means by which the Borough of Mount Ephraim can prepare for, respond to and recover from disaster situations. This mission is accomplished by establishing systems, policies and procedures to ensure interagency coordination and communication.

Mission statement: 

The Mount Ephraim Office of Emergency Management will be responsible for an emergency management plan that prepares for public recovery and relieves and reduces human suffering following events of natural or manmade disasters, catastrophes, or threat thereof.

The Mount Ephraim Office of Emergency Management follows the adopted Basic Plan, called the Mount Ephraim Emergency Management Plan, an official instrument approved by Borough, Camden County and New Jersey, upon which all disaster operations of Mount Ephraim are formulated, and is represented by Mount Ephraim Departments and support agencies, responsible for various Annexes of the Basic Plan.

The Mount Ephraim Office of Emergency Management will work in conjunction with the County, State, Federal and Local authorities, and other municipalities in the surrounding Mount Ephraim when required.

The Mount Ephraim Office of Emergency Management is prepared to activate an Emergency Operations Center during any major disaster to allow coordination of all support agencies to provide continuity of services to the public. OEM is responsible for advisement, notification and assembly of services that are in the best interest of the citizens of Mount Ephraim. Prepare and distribute information and procedures governing the same.
